WW1 Royal Navy Ship HMS New Zealand, Gold & Enamel Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce original First World War period 'HMS New Zealand naval sweetheart brooch', the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold). The badge is in very good condition the enamel perfect, however the original coiled pin bar has been broken in half close to left side of badge and badly repaired, price reflects.

HMS New Zealand built for the defence of the British Empire. and launched in 1911. The ship was funded by the government of New Zealand as a gift to Britain. She was scrapped in 1922.
