A scarce original Great War period 'Artists Rifles gold and enamel sweetheart brooch', the badge of the regiment depicting the conjoined heads of the Roman Gods Mars and Minerva in profile, with "Artists Rifles" title scroll below and mounted on a slim bar; the reverse bearing Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1916 and maker's details "E.A.P & Co". Excellent condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
