A scarce original First World War period 'The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders silver rifle sweetheart brooch'; faceted cross of St. Andrew crowned oval inscribed "The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders" 'Sphinx' on Egypt tablet below, crowned thistle to voided centre, the reverse impressed "Sterling Silver". Excellent condition, retaining original pin fittings, complete with rifle sling.
Height 18mm.

WW1 Cameron Highlanders Scottish Ladies Regimental Buckle & Tartan Belt.

A scarce First World War period 'Cameron Highlanders belt buckle', in the form of a miniature silver plated style cap badge; St. Andrew and his cross within a thistle wreath with blue enamel 'Cameron' scroll below, set on single thistle spray attached to silk tartan belt. Buckle in very good clean condition, complete with fittings, tartan belt now fragile with silk shot and loose threads.
Width approx 50mm.

This belt and buckle came with the two previous kilt sweetheart brooches.

Cameron Highlanders Scottish Kilt Sporran Brooch in Presentation Case with Compliments from 1913 Newlyweds.

A rare item of social history just prior to the First World War presented to 'Mary H. Crossley.' as a wedding gift in 1913, in the form of a 'Cameron Highlanders silk tartan kilt sporran brooch' with two white tassles and silver plated cantle with 'Cameron' title bar, complete with retailer's original tartan box with paper lapel 'Camerons' to one end and inner display card. Accompanying this brooch is a compliment card still in its wax paper envelope, the front bearing the family cypher's of the newlywed couple, the inside inscribed in silver leaf "Married, St.Andrew's Church, Wakefield, 24th September, 1913. Mary H. Crossley. Mr. And Mrs. W.W. Laird's Compliments, 26 Rothesay Gardens, White Steet, Patrick.". Unused mint condition, compliment slip with split to spine.
Height of Kilt 73mm.

These style of brooches were popular at the time and worn in the throat of a high necked blouse.
