WW1 Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs) Silver & Gold Rifle, Scottish Regimental Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce First World War period 'Seaforth Highlanders sweetheart brooch' in the form of a gold plated officer's style badge, a Stags' head, the letter 'L' (Prince Leopold Duke of Albany) and Coronet between the antlers with motto below "Cuidich 'n Righ" (Aid the King), mounted on a S.M.L.E rifle the reverse impressed "Sterling". Very good condition, complete with original rifle sling and retaining all of the gold plated finish to the front of the badge.

WW1 Seaforth Highlanders Scottish Kilt & Sporran Sweetheart Brooch with Retailer's Original Box.

A scarce First World War period 'Seaforth Highlanders sweetheart brooch', in the form of a two tassled silver plated sporran cantle the title scroll inlaid with enamel, attached to a silk tartan kilt and complete with retailer's original tartan box with paper lapel 'Seaforths' to one end and inner display card, now showing a bit of age wear. The brooch is in very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel or silk, an excellent example.
Height 72mm.

These style of brooches were popular at the time and worn in the throat of a high necked blouse.
