A rare original First World War period war-raised 'Household Battalion sweetheart brooch', oval gilded brass crowned Garter bearing 'King George V cypher' to the centre, enhanced with red, white and blue enamelling. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel with manufacturers spills and infill flaws otherwise perfect, gilt remains fresh.
