A scarce original First World War period 'Queen Victoria's Rifles sweetheart brooch'; King George V crowned Maltese Cross, within the title circlet 'St.George and the Dragon', the reverse impressed "Sterling". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings and heavy gilt plated finish to give the appearance of gold.
