Royal Army Veterinary Corps diamond regimental brooch

A superb quality rare 1918 - 52 pattern 'Royal Army Veterinary Corps sweetheart brooch', of impressive size, skillfully made from unmarked precious yellow metal, the 'Chiron' set with seventeen diamonds, which rests within a red enamel Crowned laurel wreath inlaid with green enamelling and title scroll below in blue. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch, enamel perfect except for a very minor flaw to top left laurel leaf.
