Merchant Navy Red Ensign flag silver and enamel brooch

A superb quality silver Merchant Navy flag brooch, translucent red enamel field with a Union Flag in the canton, the reverse impressed "Sterling" and with maker's details. Very good condition, original pin fittings but with some restoration to the shank, no damage to the enamel.
Height 22mm.
