The Queen’s Own Yorkshire Yeomanry diamond and ruby regimental brooch

A very rare and stunning large regimental brooch of the finest quality. The Crowned diamond set rose superimposed on crossed lances, the pennants set with diamonds and rubies, “Forrard” blue enamel scroll across the lance butts. Excellent condition, original pin fittings incorporating safety catch, no damage to the red blue and green enamel and complete with original velvet lined fitted leather case with Royal Arms and maker's details to the lid "By appointment to Her Majesty The Queen" "Collingwood of Conduit St., Ltd 46 Conduit St, W1".
Height 31mm.
Formed in 1956 from the amalgamation of Yorkshire Hussars, QO Yorkshire Dragoons and East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry.
1971 became Y Squadron, Queen's Own Yeomanry.
