Allied Flags of the Nations 1914 silver lifebuoy patriotic brooch

A rare First World War brooch, superb quality with vivid translucent enamelling, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1914, maker's details "JA&S" (J Aitkin & Son Birmingham) and Registration number "Rd 641168". Very good condition, original pin fittings, enamel with tiniest graze at 3 o'clock.
