Canadian 31st Alberta Overseas Battalion CEF 1917 silver sweetheart brooch

A scarce First World War Canadian Expeditionary Force sweetheart brooch, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1917 and maker's details "G.A&S". Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel and complete with all of its gilt finish.
Height 30mm.
Recruited in the Province of Alberta and served on the Western Front.
