Royal Navy Submarine Service gold sweetheart brooch

A rare First World War period fine quality "Royal Navy Submarine Service" sweetheart brooch, hollow gold elongated surround, to which an applied raised submarine badge is seated, the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold) on a plinth. Very good condition, original pin fittings, complete with all masks, accommodation ring for a safety chain, no dents or distortion, an excellent example.
