Royal Navy Ship HMS Conqueror 1914 silver and enamel picture brooch
A superb and rare First World War Royal Navy Ship 'HMS Conqueror silver sweetheart brooch', hand painted enamel picture of the ship set between the figures of 'Britannia' and a Royal Navy sailor commonly referred to as 'Jack Tar', the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1914 and maker's details "F.H.M" (Frank H Mannox, Birmingham). Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.

HMS Conqueror was Royal Navy Orion class Battleship, built by William Beardmore and Company, Dalmuir, launched on 1st May 1911, she served in the 2nd Battle Squadron of the Grand Fleet and fought at the Battle of Jutland, finally being decommissioned in 1921 and sold for scrap.
