Royal Navy Ship HMS Rosemary 1916 hallmarked silver sweetheart brooch
A superb and very rare First World War 'HMS Rosemary' sweetheart brooch, in the form of the ship with blue enamel title scroll "H.M.M. Rosemary", the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1916 and maker's details "AS & Co". Very good condition, original pin fittings,no damage to the enamel, complete with all masts and turrets, an excellent example.

HMS Rosemary minesweeper sloop was built in 1915 by Richardson Duck, Clydebank and completed February 1916, she had a crew of between 80-90 men. She served in both Wars being sold and finally scrapped in 1948.
