Royal Navy HMS Ramillies ships crest sweetheart brooch
A scarce First World War period HMS Ramillies gilt and enamel naval sweetheart brooch, depicting the ship's crest 'a lion couchant supporting a flag' taken from the coat of arms of the '1st Duke of Marlborough' and flanked by the title scrolls 'Grand Fleet". Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel with the exception of a tiny nick to the flag.

HMS Ramillies was a Revenge-class battleship launched in 1916, she saw much service in both the First World War and the Second World War and was scrapped in 1949.
