Royal Navy HMS Conqueror white faced enamel sweetheart brooch

A scarce First World War period gilt and enamel white faced enamel 'HMS Conqueror sweetheart brooch', depicting the figure of 'Old Father Time'. Very good condition, original pin fitting, old hook replaced with safety roller catch, no damage to the enamel, some minor scatches to the reverse.
Height 33mm.

HMS Conqueror was Royal Navy Orion class Battleship, built by William Beardmore and Company, Dalmuir, launched on 1st May 1911, she served in the 2nd Battle Squadron of the Grand Fleet and fought at the Battle of Jutland, finally being decommissioned in 1921 and sold for scrap.
