Royal Australian Air Force gilt and enamel RAAF sweetheart brooch

A scarce Second World War period English Made large 'Royal Australian Air Force gilt and enamel sweetheart brooch', blue enamel "RAAF" crest within a laurel wreath surmounted by a King's Crown and flanked by large finely feathered tapering wings. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt remains bright, an additional safety chain attached with solder otherwise an excellent example.
