CEF 125th Infantry Battalion sweetheart brooch

A scarce First World War period Canadian Expeditionary Force 'For King and Country 125th Infantry Battalion CEF gilt and enamel sweetheart brooch'. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt remains bright.
Height 30mm.

Recruited in Brant Country, Ontario and perpetuated in the 56th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery. In 1918 the 125th Battalion was absorbed by the 8th Reserve Battalion.
