A scarce First World War period Canadian Expeditionary Force '108th Infantry Battalion CEF gilt and enamel sweetheart brooch' very well designed and depicting a cockerel. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt remains bright.
Height 32mm.

108th Infantry Battalion also known as 'The Selkirk Overseas Battalion. Recruited in the Province of Manitoba. In 1917 the 108th Battalion was absorbed by the 14th Reserve Battalion.
