A rare First World War period 'The King's Royal Rifle Corps' gold sweetheart locket containing photographs of a unknown young serving officer. The front with applied badge of the regiment, the reverse bearing Chester gold hallmarks for 1916 and with maker's details "PPLd" (Payton, Pepper & Sons Ltd, Vyse Street, Birmingham.). Excellent condition and complete with suspension ring.
