A scarce First World War period Canadian Expeditionary Force '96th Infantry Battalion CEF Canadian Scottish sweetheart brooch' gilt Crowned maple leaf with lion holding an enamelled "96" oval disc with scrolls below "Overseas Batt" and "Canada". Good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel intact but with a few manufacturers infill flaws, gilt toned on the front remains bright on the reverse.
