WW1 Battle of Ypres, Belgium Sweetheart Brooch. almost a hundred years old.

A scarce unusual First World War period battle brooch, ornate gilt and painted enamel filigree crescent, within a lion holding a shield, complete with suspended gilt letters 'Ypres'. Good condition, retaining original pin fittings, paintwork intact.
