Scots Guards gold regimental sweetheart brooch

A scarce First World War period fine quality 'Scots Guards gold and enamel regimental sweetheart brooch', in the form of an officer's cap badge, a faceted Star of the Order of the Thistle the central thistle device with Latin motto "Nemo Me Impune Lacessit" inlaid with green enamelling and applied to a slender bar by two rivets, the reverse impressed "9.c" (9 carat gold). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch, enamel perfect.
