A rare original end of the First World War large circular gilt badge with title surround 'Anzac Remembrance Day 1919' inlaid in blue enamel, the inner title 'Gallipoli Landing 25th April 1915' in white, the gilt center depicts in high relief two uniformed soldiers, one being a defiant 'Jack Tar' sailor, the other an 'Anzac kneeling clutching his rifle with bayonet fixed', the reverse with maker's details impressed in relief "Stokes & Sons Melb". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt remains fresh, a perfect example.
