A rare Elizabeth II period 'Royal West African Frontier Force Nigeria 3rd Battalion Regiment gold and enamel sweetheart brooch', a palm tree surmounted by a crowned 'R.W.A.F.F.' scroll, with 'Nigeria 3 Bn Regiment' scroll below, the reverse bearing Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1955 and maker's details "G & Co Ld" in trefoil (Garrard & Co London) the Crown Jewellers. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch, minor service wear to the enamel.
