Boer War 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons, Irish Fund Raisers Charity Flag Day Badge / Brooch.

A rare Boer War period flag day badge, simply made from a strip of celluloid mounted on a pressed gilt shield, the front printed with the badge of the regiment, a crowned strap bearing title, 'Enniskilling Castle to the centre with 'VI' below. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, celluloid colours remain bright and without any foxing, gilt remains fresh.
