A scarce original First World War period fine quality 'Scots Guards gold and enamel sweetheart brooch', in the form of an officer's cap badge, a faceted Star of the Order of the Thistle the central thistle device with Latin motto "Nemo Me Impune Lacessit" and inlaid with green enamelling, the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold) and with maker's details "A&W" Good condition, retaining original pin fitting, replacement hook incorporating safety catch, enamel perfect.
