A scarce original First World War circa 1918 transitional period 'Royal Air Force sweetheart brooch'; small crowned 'RNAS' style eagle bearing engraved with 'R.A.F. title, mounted on a slim bar the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.
