A stunning First World War period fine quality 'Royal Artillery gold and enamel sweetheart brooch', designed on the style of the cap badge, the large artillery gun mounted with an applied wheel, surmounted by a Crowned scroll inlaid with blue enamel and bearing the motto 'Ubique' (Everywhere) with scroll below 'Quo fas et gloria ducunt' (Wherever right and glory lead); the reverse impressed "15ct" (15 carat gold) and with maker's details "CP&Co" (Charles Packer & Co, Regent Street, London). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, very minor wear to enamel.
