Royal Artillery 9ct Gold & Enamel RA Regimental Sweetheart Brooch by Deakin & Francis Ltd Birmingham.

A circa 1940's fine quality 'Royal Artillery gold and enamel sweetheart brooch', designed on the style of the cap badge, the artillery gun surmounted by a Crowned scroll inlaid with blue enamel and bearing the motto 'Ubique' (Everywhere) with scroll below 'Quo fas et gloria ducunt' (Wherever right and glory lead); the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold) and with maker's details "D&F" (Deakin & Francis Ltd, Birmingham). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, additional ring to a accommodate a safety chain, enamel perfect.
