WW1 Royal Artillery 9ct Gold & Enamel RA Regimental Sweetheart Brooch.

A fine quality First World War period small gold and enamel 'Royal Artillery sweetheart brooch'; designed on the style of the cap badge, the artillery gun surmounted by a Crowned scroll inlaid with blue enamel and bearing the motto 'Ubique' (Everywhere) with scroll below 'Quo fas et gloria ducunt' (Wherever right and glory lead); the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety catch, an applied ring to a accommodate a safety chain, no damage to the enamel scrolls, minor wear to crown.
