EIIR Royal Air Force Per Ardva Ad Astra eagle badge, 1954 Hallmarked Gold & Enamel RAF Tie Pin Brooch, presented Christmas 1954.

A fine quality early Elizabeth II period 'Royal Air Force tie pin brooch', an eagle within RAF motto surround "Per Ardua ad Astra", surmounted by a Queen's Crown, beautifully enamelled and applied to a slim bar; the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1954, maker's details "J.W.B" and engraved both sides of the bar "Xmas 1954" "Mickey - John". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch and perfect enamel.
