WW1 The Battle of La Somme, Verdun French Town Crest Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce First World War 1916 period battle brooch, ornate gilt and enamel filigree crescent, resting within, a blue enamelled French town crest surmounted by castle turrets above 'Verdun' title, complete with all suspended gilt letters of the 'Somme'. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel intact, gilt remains bright.
