WW1 The Battle of La Somme, French Town Crest Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce First World War 1916 period battle brooch, ornate gilt and enamel French town crest surmounted by castle turrets above 'Picardie' title, ribbon title scroll "La Somme" below inlaid with blue enamel. Excellent condition, retaining original pin fittings, perfect enamel, gilt remains fresh.
