A scarce First World War period 'Machine Gun Corps silver sweetheart brooch'; a solid silver back example, depicting crossed vickers guns surmounted by a crown, the reverse bearing London silver hallmaks for 1916 and maker's details "WsLd". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, some minor surface scratches.
