A rare First World War period '28th County of London Artists Rifles silver sweetheart brooch'; depicting the heads of the Roman gods Mars and Minerva in profile, with 'Artists Rifles' title scroll below; the reverse bearing London silver hallmarks for 1917 and maker's details 'C&A'. Excellent condition, retaining original pin fittings, excellent patina.
