A rare First World War period '8th City of London Battalion Post Office Rifles silver sweetheart brooch, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1918 and unusual maker's details "A.E.S" (A E Sturge). Good condition, retaining original pin fitting with old replacement hook, good patina, a flaw at 2 o'clock position, badge very slightly lifted.
