WW1 Royal Air Force Transitional Period 9ct Gold RAF / RNAS Eagle Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce original First World War circa 1918 transitional period 'Royal Air Force eagle sweetheart brooch'; made in two parts of hollow construction and styled on the 'RNAS / RAF' eagle, the reverse impressed "9ct" (9 carat gold) and with maker's details "P&T" (possibly Pearce & Thompson). Good condition, complete with original pin fitting with a crude replacement soldered padded hook.
