WW1 Highland Light Infantry, Scottish Regimental Sweetheart Brooch.

A good First World War period 'Highland Light Infantry sweetheart brooch', mother of pearl disc, mounted with gilt and enamel regimental crest, being a 'Thistle Star' bearing Crown, coiled bugle with central "HLI" cypher, long "Assaye" scroll with elephant below. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, gilt remains fresh.
Height 31mm.
