A scarce short lived First World War 1916 to 1919 period 'South African Scottish sweetheart brooch', gilded brass example on the style of the collar badge, bearing the Latin motto "Mors Lucrum Mihi" (Death is my reward). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, gilt remains bright.
