Royal Navy 1930 Hallmarked Silver, Vivid Blue Guilloche Enamel Naval Crowned Powder Compact.

A superb 1930's period 'Royal Navy ladies powder compact', the lid beautifully decorated with blue translucent enamelling and mounted with a silver 'Naval Crown'; both parts impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1930, maker's details "JWB' (J W Benson Ltd, London) and engraved with the initials "K.G.M. 12.6.31" to the underside. Very good clean condition, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, sound hinge, minimal wear, complete with mirror.
