WW1 Royal Navy Mizpah, 1916 Hallmarked Hollow Silver Anchor Sweetheart Brooch.

An unusual First World War period 'Royal Navy sweetheart brooch' in the form of a small petite hollow silver anchor with applied heavy gold plated lettering forming the word 'Mizpah, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1916 and maker's details "R.J.W" (possibly Richard John Wakefield, Birmingham). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings no dents or distortions.
Height 29mm.
