A scarce First World War period 'Canadian Expeditionary Force CEF silver and enamel sweetheart brooch', maple leaf design bearing Crowned horseshoe scroll "Ottawa Overseas Battalion" "38" to the centre above beaver and "Canada" scroll; the reverse impressed "Sterling Silver" and with maker's details "J.W.T" (J W Tiptaft & Son Ltd, Birmingham).Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel intact.
