WW1 Canadian Engineers CEF silver sweetheart brooch

A good example of a First World War period 'Canadian Expeditionary Force silver and enamel sweetheart brooch', maple leaf wreath, the centre bearing Crowned circular title 'Canadian Engineers' inlaid with blue enamel, central beaver on white enamel ground and mounted on a slender bar, the reverse impressed "Sterling Silver" and with maker's details 'SSR'. Very good clean condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
