South Wales Borderers 1902 Hallmarked Silver Antique Regimental Boer War Bayonet Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce Boer War period 'South Wales Borderers hollow silver sweetheart brooch'; the badge an unbroken wreath of immortelles surmounted by a Queen Victoria Crown with 'Sphinx' on Egypt tablet within resting on the numerals "24", laurel wreath and title scrolls below; mounted to a miniature metford bayonet, the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1902 and maker's details "MB". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no dents or distortions, an excellent example.
