WW1 Royal Flying Corps Pilot, 1916 Chester Hallmarked Gold RFC Antique Regimental Photo Locket by Payton, Pepper & Sons Ltd.

A very unusual and scarce original First World War period 'Royal Flying Corps gold locket'; an impressive sized opening case bearing an "RFC" cap badge style device to the front, and bearing Chester 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1916 to the back and inside, with maker's details "PPL" (Payton, Pepper & Sons Ltd Birmingham). Very good condition, complete with gold ring suspension, good working hinge, secure closure, minor dents to the back.
