WW1 Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Gold on Silver Scottish Regimental Sweetheart Brooch.

A scarce original First World War period 'WW1 Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders silver sweetheart brooch', heavy gold plated badge, mounted within a laurel wreath, the reverse impressed "Sterling". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, complete with all of the gold plating to the front of the badge.
Height 23mm.
