WW1 Royal Army Medical Corps, 1915 Hallmarked Silver Horseshoe Sweetheart Brooch.
A scarce First World War period 'Royal Army Medical Corps sweetheart brooch'; Queen Victoria Crowned laurel wreath, "Rod of Asclepius" within, resting on Latin motto "In Arduis Fidelis" (Faithful in Adversity) over ribbon title scroll, this mounted in turn to a hollow horseshoe, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1915 and maker's details "C&S". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no dents or distortions, an excellent example.
