A superb post 1931 Second World War period 'Anzac Forces gold sweetheart brooch', of the very finest quality, depicting a rising sun with central Crown set on a field of red translucent enamel and tri-part title scroll below "Australian Commonwealth Military Forces" inlaid in dark blue; the reverse impressed "14ct" (a post 1931 14 carat gold standard ). Excellent condition, retaining original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect and complete with its velvet lined fitted leather case with details to the lid "By appointment to H.M The King" "Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd 112, Regent Street, London, W.1" also in excellent condition. Highly recommended.
