WW1 Scottish Horse Yeomanry Sporran Style Sweetheart Brooch.

A rare original First World War period 'Scottish Horse sweetheart brooch', in the form of a three tassled purplish silk hair sporran, the silver plated metal cantle bearing title scroll inlaid with blue enamel. Very good condition, retaining original pin fitting, replacement padded hook.
Height approx 80mm.

These style of brooches were popular in the First World War and were worn in the collar of a high necked blouse.
